Shiny but crooked


In a university of excellence, you’d expect everything to be perfect and shiny. But “gloss is deceptive”, as we Germans tend to say. From students’ perspective, things have been going pear shaped since the Bologna reform started. Even the vice chancellor has acknowledged that and is now pressing for a reform of the reform. Whether he spotted the distorted reflection of Old University and opposing buildings in this bonnet, we do not know. He might have, though – he wasn’t inside his car at the time.
