Way to Paris

paris_wayWe’ll be on our way to Paris in about half an hour. What you see here is a completely different “way to Paris” altogether… The pic was shot just outside Wieblingen on a stretch of cart track called – yes, Pariser Weg. And this is the only mention of the French capital you’ll find on a Heidelberg streetmap. God knows why!

To me, this view shows a lot what I like about this town. Within a few minutes of walking, you can be right in the countryside, and everything turns tranquil even within viewing distance of the city centre. Plus the silhouette of our landmark mountains, Heliigenberg (left) and Königstuhl (right), always tells me I’m coming home when approaching down A5 or A656.
